Originally Titled: Oh Buddy!!! He Keeps Me Busy

i think i may have forgotten about this ol' blog.
you see it's just that i've been a little busy the past year.
just a few life changes like...
having a baby, selling our home, moving across the country, ya know...
little things like that ;)

i stumbled across this post that i must have started a year ago when jack was still so tiny, i thought charlie was a lily and we still lived in vegas.

and since i think that in most cases you should finish what you start
i'm gonna finish this post

this post was originally going to center around

all of buddies happenings

and how they kept me

SOOOOOO busy.

i thought i was busy then??!

yikes

super busy chasing jack at the park

oh he looks so tiny

super busy at the hendertucky days parade

i don't miss very many things

about vegas

my friends and family yes

but vegas itself

not so much

but i do miss

Town Square

a lot

busy subbing

not really

it took over 6 months go get my

sub license

i subbed about 4 times

it was fun while it lasted

and this time last year i was busy

being big and pregnant.

can we just note that this is

Mother's Day

like in May folks

and well Charlie wasn't born until

the end of July

holy big belly

and check it

Hil graduated last year too.

well lots has changed since this time last year

for example:

My ENTIRE life

which i LOVE

i love my life

i love where God has taken us

i love my boys

i will try to be a better blogger

i really will

there's still so much to tell

If These Walls Could Talk

i started my

"black & white wall"
b.s.

(before sam)

when i lived in my condo

i took some of my very favorite pictures

set them to black and white

and (with lots of help from my mom)

framed away

after sam and i got married

i figured i should add some more

there is one from when we started dating,

a few from our honeymoon and wedding,

some of favorite babies

i needed to start a new black and white wall

but change it up...

it really was hard picking out which pictures

i was gonna put up

(mind you jack was only 5 months

when i did this wall and there were hundreds to choose from)

jackamo when she watched him

but i do have a beautiful blank wall in my kitchen

and wanted to do something

unique with it

so we started a

Hook Wall

and can i just say

i am in LORVE

robbie bought us the "L"

when we moved into this house

and the other two are just fun finds

it's hard to tell but the umbrella is red

so stinkin cute!

this one was my christmas present

from jen

so cute

and lilacs are

my favorite flowers

and since they don't grown well in the desert

(trust me. my dad has bought me many lilac bushes)
it makes me happy to have them in my kitchen

I Prayed For Patience... And God Gave Me Robbie

At least that is what my mom always says...

So the moral of the story would be

NEVER PRAY FOR PATIENCE

or you'll get a strong willed, handsome,

did i mention strong willed,

blond haired beautiful baby boy

who will indeed make you learn some patience.

So

knowing this i have never even hinted to God that

i would like more patience.

I am however known for saying

"i hate people"

(say it with a whine)

or

"i used to be a nice person"

and

"i don't like meeting new people"

well i guess God wanted me to love people and be nice again

b/c He gave me a

BABY WITH GLASSES!!!

last july i started to notice that when jack was

sitting in his highchair

it seemed like his right eye was crossing.

as any mom in the age of (too much) information

does.. i googled

"cross-eyed babies"

oh the horrors that followed.

over the next month i asked everyone to keep an

eye on jack's eyes.

NO ONE ELSE NOTICED!!

so i figured it must be an optical illusion.

(or my friends and family we just trying to not hurt my feelings)

it started out so subtle that it really was hard to notice.

it did eventually become evident to everyone that his eye

was indeed crossing on a regular basis.

so in august at his 15 month check

we got a referral to an eye doc.

buddy buddy crossed eye...

it turned out that he is farsighted

he can't see close-up.

of course all sorts of things start running through your mind.

how can he have poor eye sight?

i mean he was breast feed,

his 1st "real" food was organic carrots

well maybe his muffin man hat was on too tight

and pushed on his little eyeballs
or what if i willed him to indeed be
harry potter???

this was buddy on his way home from his

1st eye dr. appt.

his eyes were dilated so he got to wear his super cool shadesafter his 3&1/2 hour dr. appt.

they said he did need glasses

and that they had this blue pair

or this pink pair.

ummmm

i guess i'll take the blue?

so anywhooo

what does this have to with me being nice?

well in case you didn't know

everyone LOVES

a baby with glasses

but really who can blame them???

however,

there are some days when i would like to run into

the grocery store and grab some milk

without having to talk to every single

tom, dick, harry, mary, sally, bubba

and grandma,

about how their sisters neighbors uncles baby

had to have glasses and after 15 surgeries

he's now completely walleyed!

or

"how did you know he needed glasses?"

"are those for real?"

"what's he suppose to be?"

(a real question i got at the chicago airport)

"oh look!, it's baby harry potter!!!!"

i feel like forrest gumps mom sometimes

"What you never seen a baby with glasses on his face before?"

as jen would say..

"Those eyes would be huge on a cow!!!"

it's like he's a super star

yesterday we were eating lunch with

MiMi and PaPa and this

very sweet lady came over

and talked to us for about 20 minutes

about her grandson who has glasses

(his last name really is potter!!!)

people sometimes even ask to take his picture.

they point and stare

and nudge their friends as they whisper

look at that baby wearing glasses

and so i smile back nicely,

answer all their questions patiently,

laugh at their silly jokes,

tell the with a smile that he is

not suppose to "be" anything

and yes they are indeed real glasses

try not to worry about my frozen broccoli melting in my

shopping cart

as they tell me about their nieces 25th surgery

and just be sweet.

i get it

he's cute.

thank God jackamo is a people person

and thrives in

ALLL the attention!

and well my brother turned out GREAT!

my mom did receive the patience she prayed for

and i am slowly but surely starting to hate people

less and less

:)

Ugh I Know I'm SOOOO Lame

Okay Okay, i know i have totally ignored this sweet blog...

but i've been busy

and so has jackamo...

this is what we've been up to since October :) making badass gingerbread house at MiMi's on Thanksgiving

learning to eat black olives off our fingers

hangin with auntie whitty and the fam

(we went to chicago to see nana and grampa rob)

(we flew out Christmas day and flew back the 1st)

Jack partied super hard on News Years Eve

thank goodness Ms. Gloria was there to hold him

minna-wee was very jealous of jack's chair

Christmas brunch at the country club

MiMi has been saying he needs a pony since the day he was born

and she really got him one.

Not a real pony mind you, but it does talk and move and rock and wag it's tail!!)

we learned how to ride an ATV

became best friends with Santa

mommy refuses to turn on the heat

so you gotta bundle up in our house

just kidding

we've been hanging out at MiMi and PaPa's

b/c Papa makes FUNNEL CAKES!!!!!we've been cheering on the Packers!!!

Go Pack!!i know he looks confused, but we will let him choosewe celebrated our best friends birthday

Happy 2nd Birthday Benjaminsammy and i celebrated our

5th wedding ANNIVERSARY

i cannot believe it's been 5 years.

i love him more than life

he was more than worth the wait...

i also turned 31. (no biggie)and yes there is something else i've been busy doing.....

what was it????

oh that's right

GROWING ANOTHER HUMAN BEING!!!! bebe #2 is due July 31st

this little bundle of joy is 14 weeks

and the size of a lemon!!

We are very surprised and soo stinkin excited.

we are not going to find out the sex,

gonna be surprised

(let's hope i can hold out)

i know jackamo is gonna be the greatest BIG brother ever

we'll have 2 under 2!!

so yea.. we've been busy!

busy eating, loving, playing, cleaning, laughing, hangin with the ones we love,

growing (me and jack)

learning and just busy being cute (jack not me)
