Go PopPop Go!

PopPop and Uncle Mike (from Minnesota, he flew in last night) left this morning to go Elk hunting this morning. I know we live in vegas, but it really is cold at 6am and Jack wears his jammies and a hat over the river and through the woods to MiMi's every morning. This morning he wanted to wear his bear hat to bring PopPop good luck. Such a sweet little bear cub.

The Big 5-0

The greatest daddy in the whole wide world

turned 50 on Sunday For those of you trying to do the math,

yes that makes him a young dad.

We are 20 years apart (I'll be 30 in January)

Last month we gave him his big present

a shiny new smoker to make us yummy food in.

For the big day we met him for breakfast

and then

took him for a surprise dinner a

Texas De Brazil.

All you can eat meat on a sword..

Sign me up!

It was beyond delish!!!

Chuck got to hang out with uncle robbie.

i don't think he had any idea how much he would love him

it's sweet

One of the things that really surprised me about being a mom

was how much i would love watching my

parents love my baby.
My dad loves Jack in a way that is out of this world.

he says that every morning is like Christmas for him

when he gets Jack out of my car.

Thankful is not a good enough word to explain

how i feel about my dad.

Grateful.. still not enough...

Blessed.. yes

Loved... without a doubt

Cherished... everyday of my life

Daddy's Girl... still am

My dad shaped my soul with his kisses

Protected my heart with his unconditional love

I never had to be the pretty girl with daddy issue.

I knew, know and will always know that my dad loves me

i love that jack gets to know that too.

that his sweet face and toes get PopPop kisses everyday

that that they will take Grampa, Daddy and Jack fishing trips, roll in the mud,

and do boys things together.

Chunk is so excited for Thanksgiving

MiMi calls him

her "Pumpkin Pie"

Jack is trying to make her one

We told him that he can have

I think he is going to love pumpkin pie
the most.
But Uncle Robbie's kind of pumpkin pie.
The story goes that when Robbie was little
he asked my mom for a piece of pumpkin pie,
which she gave him.
As soon as she handed it to him
he started to fuss and say
"No, I don't want that pumpkin pie.
I want that kind of pumpkin pie"!
and
pointed to a plate of cool whip!!

Look he's drooling just thinking about it.

Once i got this little turkey home

i told him i was gonna stuff him

but he started praying

"Dear God, make me a bird so i can

fly far far far away from here"

I decided that he was indeed

He was excited that he would get

to stay for turkey and

and not be

the Thanksgiving dinner

I was strolling through the forest

the other day

i thought he was pretty darn cute

so i took him and his pumpkins home

Now That's A Great Grandma!!

Great Grandma Peggy was in Minnesota all

summer playing with her

other great-grand babyBut now she's back

and Jack had so many

thing he had to show her Like his tongue

and smiles

and rolls
and laughs Oh look GG has a tongue too

I gotta say every kid needs a grandma
who will give you ice cream with
cool whip
when your tummy hurts,
buy you that Christmas present
your parents just can't afford
let you stay up "late" and
eat your favorite baby food
(mine was apricots)
when you are no longer a baby,
read to you for hours upon hours
and love you in a way that only a
great grandma can.

Luckily for Jack
Great Grandma Peggy is just that.

Whatcha Gonna Do When They Come For You??

So Nana LeRossi or should we just say Rossi :) was in town last week.

That means lots of love, eating and shopping.

While in Town Square we ran into some very nice S.W.A.T men.

I think buddy liked the big truck
